About Oxford Big Read Asia
Oxford University Press invites schools to participate in Oxford Big Read Asia, an annual reading and writing campaign that promotes reading and literacy. Winners are selected nationally through participating Oxford University Press branches, and then become semi-finalists in the regional competition across Asia, earning awards and prizes.
OPEN TO SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS
The campaign is open to schools and institutions in Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Malaysia and Pakistan through Oxford University Press branch offices. Schools and institutions can participate by registering their interest to receive further details about the campaign at the time of launch.
STUDENTS CAN READ, WRITE & WIN PRIZES
Open to students in participating institutions, the campaign is designed to inspire students to read and demonstrate their literacy skills. Students read from a selection of Oxford University Press books and participate by completing a project based on their reading. There are three categories according to the age group and each prepares a different project.
